First Skirt to be Sold The pastel rainbow skirt has found its new home. The money will be put towards my next plastics expedition. The jewel coloured and gold coloured skirts still available.

Deborah Maw: Welcome to my blog. I've been an environmental campaigner for most of my life and a seamstress for even longer, creating dolls clothes from an early age. I trained originally as a scientist and then as an artist and designer. My environmental work - which has involved numerous expeditions, sailing, canoeing, walking, living in rainforest - has been focused on saving rivers from damming, sea life from plastic pollution and sonar, and clothing from landfill. I use a wide range of techniques in my work from microscopy and photography to the creation of plastic textiles, dressmaking and embroidery.
